WHOSE REPORT WILL YOU BELIEVE.

Whose report will you believe? ISAIAH53:1
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers (Psalms 1:1 NIV)

The counsel
Instructions given by God comes with blessing for those that diligently follow them/obey (Zechariah 6:15) and curses for those that do the opposite (Deuteronomy 11:28).

Today’s Christians must be vigilant to know that the world has a counsel, a way and a seat or gathering.

In simple terms a counsel is an opinion, a point of view, advice or recommendation from a more experience person or a wiser person. The counsel of the world may seem right but, where do we put God’s counsel or godly counsel?
Many refuse God because the worldly counsel sounds better to their hearing and easy to work with (since the general populace does the same) or so they may not look the odd one out or look old school. Just like Jehoshaphat who did not depend on military or the opinion of the world but was eager, wanting to know what God wants (1 Kings 22:55 NIV) brethren!
Whose counsel are you seeking before you take that important decision?
"First seek the counsel of the LORD, don’t forget Absalom when he decided to follow man’s advice marked the beginning of his failure (2samuel17:14-17) although the counsel of the world may be good but still God still want us to seek his counsel.

The way
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9 KJV)
There is no easy way out of this, it is either you blindly and dumbly follow the way of the lord or walk the way of the world which certainly leads to destruction. So when you act like or do the things the children of the world do, what would differentiate you from them?
How would God know you are his Child? (Zechariah 3:7 KJV). Why the lord’s way? In the lord’s way there is longevity (1 Kings 3:14 KJV), in His way you are assured of his presence with you and a ‘sure home’ (a place in his everlasting kingdom) (1 Kings 11:38 KJV), in his way we are saved from death and judgement (Ezekiel 18:29-30 KJV).
It is important to know that the way of truth is not easy, smooth, and rosy (Matthew 7:14 and  Jeremiah 21:8
AMP.] Still it is important to note that ours is the way of life.

The seat

I know where you live-where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, and who was put to death in your city-where Satan lives. (Revelation 2:13 NIV)
Even in this present age where the devil lay siege everywhere and it seem there are no breathing space or spaces for us (Christians), we all need to take our stand and not be conformists (Romans 12:1-2NIV). If it is for the sake of eternity it is all worth it (Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? KJV)

Whose report will you believe?
You know as a teacher of the word I'll always coin a quote/nugget.
"The report you believe determines the result you achieve"- Oluwatobiloba Oshunbiyi.
 Do well to:

(a) Watch the counsel you follow
(b) The way through which you get the report you believe
(c) The seat on which you analyze the counsel.

Thank You Moses Aiyenugba, You don't know how much I cherish you.

THE 7 DISPENSATIONS IN THE BIBLE

Dispensationalism is a method of interpreting history that divides God’s work and purposes toward mankind into different periods of time. Usually, there are seven dispensations identified, although some theologians believe there are nine. Others count as few as three or as many as thirty-seven dispensations.  In this article, we will limit ourselves to the seven basic dispensations found in scripture.

But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will” (I Corinthians 12:4–11).

GOD'S OMNIPRESENCE AND MANIFEST PRESENCE - THE DIFFERENCE

God’s omnipresence is His attribute of being everywhere at once. He is omnipresent even when we do not experience His presence; He is here, even if we do not recognize Him. God’s manifest presence is, of course, His presence made manifest—the fact that He is with us is made clear and convincing.

SPRITUAL GIFTS

In Christianity, a spiritual gift or charism (plural: charisms or charismata ; in Greek singular: χάρισμα charisma , plural: χαρίσματα charismata ) is an endowment which is given by the Holy Spirit. These are the supernatural graces which individual Christians need (or needed in the days of the Apostles) to fulfill the mission of the Church. In the narrowest sense, it is a theological term for the extraordinary graces given to individual Christians for the good of others.
