THINGS YOU NEED IN 2016- KNOW YOURSELF II - LIKENESS.

Yesterday we went through the scriptures and with the help of the Holy-spirit we were able to discover how we are God's image and the responsibility begin His image dawns on us.
Today I will be going into the second outline of Knowing yourself and I pray this blesses you more.
B. You are after His likeness:

Likeness is similarity in appearance or character or nature between persons or things.

Acts11:26b 'And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch'

Acts 4:13 'Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus'
Peter and John were part of the disciples that were called Christians first in Antioch. They called them Christians because they realised they had been with Jesus. They are already after His(Jesus') likeness.

How much of Jesus do you emit?
Can people move close to you and see Jesus?
Can you be referred to as a child of God?
Can your neighbor and friends behold you and say- I know after this world we'll meet in Heaven again wishing to be your neighbour/friend there?

Have you been with Jesus or you had just been to Jesus??
A lot of us do not want to be with Jesus, or pardon me say a lot of us don't have the patience to be with Jesus but we want to enjoy the benefits attached to Him. Most of us have just been to Jesus for what He has to offer- Miracles, provisions, protection, lifting and all but you are not interested in the one who provides them.

You become what you have been with not what you have been to - Oluwatobiloba Oshunbiyi.
Pardon me explain further, only those that have been to Jesus have the complete package of Him.
I know a lot of my friends out there do the BlackBerry Internet Subscription and you know what a complete package is. For non BIS users a complete package is buying a new mobile phone with the memory card, earpiece and all other accessories present in the pack.
(a) Only those that have been with Jesus can maintain the miracles He has given to them. No wonder it seems like those blessings are not everlasting in your bossom.

(b) Only those that have been with Jesus maintain their deliverance. Remember the scriptures said 'Affliction will not rise the second time'- Nahum1:9b.

(c) Only those that have been with Jesus make proper use of His Power, gifts and fruits. 'No wonder you keep shouting living a Christian life is not easy!'

(d) A Christian without the Holy-spirit is such a one that has not been with Christ.
I can keep counting my points, but the most important to me for the reasons of this lesson is;

(e) Only those that have been with Jesus are the ones complete in Him!(Colossians 2:10).
Truly its not what people call you but what you answer to! but you are an instrument to what people call you.
Do you really know yourself or you live on others discoveries of you?
A lot of us only believe in what others say we've got, no wonder we are not unique in our own way.
You are created to be after His likeness- in the way you talk, live, walk, sleep, dress, drink, eat, look, respond. I mean in every little things.
Think deeply on these things and how you want to be better than yester-years.
You have just this life to live and you are not in competition with anyone.

'God's dealings with/in your life is never an estimation of what is happening in the life of your friend/colleague/siblings.
God's dealing with your life is very personal and unique.
Take your gaze off other people's path and concentrate on your race. You'll get the medal!'- these are words of my friend Kuku Azeez

Finally, the scripture said 'they looked unto him and were lightened and their face were not ashamed'-Psalms 34:5.
They looked unto him because both they and Him were similar. In 2016 i urge you to only look unto God, he recognizes you- you are His likeness! When you look up to God, your face will never be ashamed.

'Look unto man and leave, look up to God and Live'- Oluwatobiloba Oshunbiyi.

Have a fulfilled weekend,
Keep working on you for a better you cos a better you is a better 2016!

THE 7 DISPENSATIONS IN THE BIBLE

Dispensationalism is a method of interpreting history that divides God’s work and purposes toward mankind into different periods of time. Usually, there are seven dispensations identified, although some theologians believe there are nine. Others count as few as three or as many as thirty-seven dispensations.  In this article, we will limit ourselves to the seven basic dispensations found in scripture.

3 CATEGORIES OF SPIRITUAL GIFTS

Transformational gifts Ministry gifts Manifestation gifts Before we move ahead, you can click here to  read on Spiritual Gifts . Lets move on; The Apostle Paul speaks of the variety of spiritual gifts : “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. . . . But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will” (I Corinthians 12:4–11).

DID JOHN THE BAPTIST REALLY EAT INSECTS(LOCUST)?

His name was divinely given. It was to be “John” ( Luke 1:13 ), which derives from a Hebrew term signifying “Jehovah is gracious.” He was known familiarly as “ the Baptist ” (bearing no relation to the modern sect), which simply means “an immerser , one who administers the rite of immersion” ( Matthew. 3:1; 11:11; .. ). The Jewish historian Josephus even refers to John by this designation (Antiquities 18.5.2). The importance of John in the divine scheme of things probably is summed up best in the testimony of Jesus himself. “ Among them that are born of women there has not arisen a greater than John the Baptist ” ( Matthew 11:11 ). Luke does say of John: “ And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel ” ( Luke 1:80 ).  This desert (or deserted) area “stretches from Jerusalem and Bethlehem eastward some 20 miles down to the Jordan River and th e Dead Sea.” It is “a barren region of rugged hills and valleys” (Earle, 30

DISCERNING THE MOVE OF GOD

Acts 2:17 [17]And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams God wants to move again and He needs a lot of vessels. God is not trying to repeat the same thing. He does not fail so He does not repeat. He only uses a familiar operation; a familiar move to men to progress the birth of The revival. Christianity(The Sphere of Religion) cannot export and empty itself into other spheres of influence, Men have to be exported into these spheres and the only way men will be exported is when we discern what God is trying to do and position ourselves for these moves. Our generation has to understand the synchronization between the Cyclical and the Acyclical move of God. We need to understand how these dimensions sync into each other to birth the revival. KAIROS: THE MYSTERY OF TIME

At the very beginning of Jesus’ earthly ministry  Jesus tells of a great opportunity: God’s kingdom is within our reach. To enter the kingdom, however, we must go through a process of REPENTANCE and BELIEF. Mark 1:14‭-‬15 KJV‬‬: Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,  And saying, The time is fulfilled , and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Through this process we learn how: - To lay down our lives - Pick up the cross - Follow Jesus into the kingdom These three highlights aren’t steps but a circle that represents our Journey into the kingdom of God and time: the kairos moments in our lives which is the portal through which we enter into Kingdom living. What is a Kairos Moment?  A portal (access) through which we enter into dimensions of results. It is a moment and moments defines time just like seasons define destiny. Eg: Jesus’ death on the cross was not a last-ditch
